Exterior

Overall, GA3 GAC is something that seems calm and simple. Now, this is definitely not a sight for a sore eye, but GA3 is not what people call unattractive, either. The front fascia looks quite attractive with its large headlamps and swepback, chrome-plated three-layer grille with a fairly large GAC company logo in the middle, and a neat hood design and front bumper; the latter even features a foglamp housing integrated with functional halogen fog lights.

The rather busy side profile of GAC GA3 is adorned with a myriad of curves, protrusions, and character lines. Not much is interesting to note here, although 16-spoke alloy wheels, 16-inches and rear door handles mounted on pillars are a nice touch. At the rear, there is a pair of C-shaped 3D design taillights and thick chrome bars on the boot cover. As for its dimensions, the 2019 GAC GA3 sedan comes with a length of 4,570 meters, width of 1,790 meters, height of 1,490 meters, and has a wheelbase of 2,620 meters. GA3's total boot capacity is 450 liters, which makes it one of the smallest in its class.

Inland

According to the GAC, GA3's interior featured a "spaceship" cockpit, which sounded very interesting. Not. However, that sounds funny to me. Now, even though this interior style is not good, I can see the past because of the efforts made. What I can't see in the past is acres and acres of plastic, black gray almost everywhere in this cabin. Also not fantastic is the build quality, fit-and-finish, and instrument cluster that looks cheap.

Having stated all that, I admit that ergonomics is a non-AC problem, works well, and the design theme is not completely flat. At the front of the feature, GA3 gets automatic climate control, keyless entry with ignition, leather seats, parking sensor with rear camera, multifunctional steering wheel, and cruise control. Safety technology includes dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, and hill start assistance.

Engine and performance

GAC GA3 comes with a 1.6 liter gasoline engine that produces 120 hp power and 153 Nm of torque. This is mated to Aisin's 4-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. GA3 1,200 kg can reach 100 km / h in 12.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 175 km / h, while averaging 6.0 L / 100 km.
